Modernising the design

Journal "Computer Arts" and "World Architecture" reflect element of modernism. This can be applied into the design of my office.

Instead of using staircase, I found the script or making an elavator. This helps saving the prim counts and also, adding modernism to the office.

Ther other feature I've added is the teleportation pad. In a real life context, this can be extemely new, modern, and however, unachiveable. In Second Life, this can be achived by scripts. It adds interests to the office.

Journal Computer Arts

This picture is from an article from the Computer Arts. Information about this journal can be accessed through the website http://www.computerarts.co.uk/ It is about digital illustration arts. I am thinking about creating a gallery in my office of illustration arts.

It turned out all right - filling the empty space and add links to the journal.

Inspirations from terms "Computer Arts" and "Technology"

One of the journals I'm using is "Computer Arts". And also, the article I've chosen fro the Jounal "Land Law Use and Zoing Design" is "Computer Modelling". Indeed, with this ever-growing technoly, modelling for building become more approachable and effective. The term itself has reminded me the existing design of the Beijing digital building. Here are some pictures.

World Architecture - Jan 2002 The Idea Factory

The article analysed about 9 Stock Orchard Street - an combination of house and office, designed by the architect Sarah Wigglesworth and Jeremy Till.

The revolutionary idea of putting working and living space together has achieved a sustainable use of urban space.

The living space and work space are separated, indicated by different materials and geometry. Left side shown in this plan is the living area, consist of bedrooms bathroom and kitchen. On the right side, is the working space, including meeting room and offices.

Section of the building has shown the height relation of the design, a unique tower erected at the centre of the building break the boundary of the normal pattern of house and office design.

The interior has confirmed what the architects have achieved. A combination, yet a separation of office and house has a multifunctional use and a consistent aesthetic over all.

The play of light and shadow emphasises the atmosphere of living space, and the contrast of materiality stand out the function of the office.

Journal Research - "Breathing Space"

A residential house design by Japanese architects Akira Yoneda and Koh Kitamaya, a good example of modernism of architecture. The building occupies a tall carrow space, yet the interior and the materiality reflects modernism and contrasts the surrounding buildings.
